Designing the florals for Laura and Nick’s wedding at Valhalla Resort in South Lake Tahoe was nothing short of a fairytale. These two high school sweethearts had been dreaming of this day for years, and their love story brought such a sweet energy to every detail.

The entire wedding was a perfect blend of English garden elegance and lakeside serenity, with a color palette of soft whites, dusty blues, and delicate lavender tones. From a ceremony surrounded by pine trees and lake views to a reception that felt like a charming garden party in the English countryside, every element was thoughtful, romantic, and timeless.

The ceremony took place among towering trees with a breathtaking view of Lake Tahoe in the background. To honor the garden theme, I designed lush floral arrangements nestled in woven baskets, creating the feel of an enchanted woodland garden tucked between the pines. The bridesmaids wore soft blue gowns that harmonized beautifully with their custom basket bouquets—designed to look like dainty purses brimming with garden blooms. Laura’s bridal bouquet was a pastel dream, overflowing with roses, delphinium, sweet peas, and other delicate stems, while Nick wore the most charming pocket boutonniere that added the perfect floral touch to his suit.

As guests moved into the reception space, it felt like stepping into an elegant English tea party. Tables featured a thoughtful mix of flower-blocking designs and lush garden-style centerpieces. Bud vases filled with sprigs of lavender added a soft, fragrant detail that tied the entire palette together.
