When you picture a dreamy winter wedding in Lake Tahoe, you probably imagine a light dusting of snow, cozy candlelit tables, and just enough chill in the air to make your guests feel like they’ve stepped into a snow globe. But Chloe and Chris' wedding at The Timbers at Old Greenwood took winter wonderland to a whole new level—it happened to fall on the snowiest day of 2024. Vendors were slipping, sliding, and shoveling their way through record-breaking snowfall, while guests navigated blizzard-like conditions just to make it to the ceremony. It was an obstacle course of nature, but in true Tahoe spirit, everyone buckled down, put on their snow boots, and made magic happen!
Through it all, Chloe and Chris were the calm in the storm—literally. Their kindness and positivity were infectious, and they made it their mission to ensure that every guest and vendor arrived safely and had everything they needed to make the day enjoyable. From checking in on their vendors to making sure guests had warm drinks in hand, their thoughtfulness set the tone for a wedding that felt more like an intimate and cozy celebration rather than a logistical challenge. Their resilience and warmth turned a day that could have been filled with stress into one of camaraderie, laughter, and pure joy.
The design of their wedding perfectly complemented the wintery scene outside. Inspired by the natural beauty of Lake Tahoe in winter, their palette of crisp whites and deep blues was accented with natural branches, bringing the essence of the surrounding landscape indoors. Delicate white florals paired with icy blue tones gave an elegant yet cozy feel, while twinkling candles and soft textures created a warm, inviting atmosphere. It was a true winter wonderland, effortlessly blending nature with romance.
Despite the challenges, the wedding ended up being an absolute blast. There’s something about a snowstorm that brings people together, and Chloe and Chris’ wedding was no exception. Laughter echoed through the venue, guests danced the night away, and the unexpected snowfall made for the most breathtaking wedding photos. Snowflakes swirled around them as they shared their first dance, creating a scene straight out of a fairytale. What started as a logistical challenge turned into one of the most unforgettable, love-filled celebrations—a true testament to embracing whatever nature throws your way!
Thank you, Chloe and Chris for trusting me to be a part of your special day!
